Our hojicha powder is medium-roasted, with smooth, nutty, toasty notes and a naturally gentle sweetness. Ideal for lattes or desserts, it offers a caffeine-friendly alternative that’s both comforting and calming. It is usually enjoyed late afternoon or after meals as it aids in digestion.

How to enjoy

1. Warm up tea bowl and chasen (whisk) with warm water 2
2. Drain hot water
3. Add 3g of hojicha powder and 70ml of hot water at 80º C (175º F). 
4. Whisk the matcha and hot water until foam and bubbles formed
5. Serve hot or cold on its own or with your milk of choice.
